  6. A near spherical cornea (central 
  7. corneal curvature or K-reading near 
  8. spherical) will show a gradual 
  9. increase in radius from the center 
  10. towards the periphery.   Some 
  11. corneas change more in the 
  12. periphery than others.  The rate of 
  13. change can be different in different 
  14. meridians of the same cornea.  The 
  15. "average" cornea has an e-value of 
  16. about 0.4.
